Golden, Patient, and Deeply Satisfying
There is something quietly triumphant about the baked onion ring — a thing so often rushed and deep-fried into anonymity, finally given the patience it deserves. In the oven, the transformation is slower and somehow more honest: each ring crisping gradually, the breadcrumb crust taking on a warmth and texture that feels earned. The dipping sauce beside it is cool and bright, a gentle counterpoint. This is comfort food that doesn't need to apologize for itself — only to be made slowly, and eaten while still warm.
