Pasta Sauce Dip with Crispy Parmesan Crisps

A warm bowl of marinara, softened with the quiet richness of Gorgonzola and mascarpone, paired with something crisp to drag through it. It's the kind of thing you make almost without thinking, and yet it stays with you. Abundant without being heavy. Generous without being showy. The sort of appetizer that makes everyone lean in a little closer.

Ingredients

  • 1 Loafs crispy artisanal bread, sliced
  • 1/4 cups Alessi Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups Alessi Smooth Marinara Pasta Sauce
  • 1/4 cups Gorgonzola (room temperature)
  • 1/4 cups Mascarpone (room temperature)

Instructions

  1. Place bread rounds on a baking sheet and brush the top of each with Alessi Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
  2. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan and bake in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes or until golden. Set aside.
  3. Briefly heat Alessi Smooth Marinara sauce in a thick bottomed pan and whisk in the gorgonzola and mascarpone until thoroughly blended.
  4. Pour into a bowl and serve with Parmesan crisps.
