Playful, Golden, Quietly Beloved
Some dishes are born not from ambition, but from delight — the kind of cooking that happens when someone smaller than the countertop is watching you work. The Breadstick Spider is one of those recipes. It asks very little and gives back something warm and golden, fragrant with garlic and herb, with a bowl of marinara waiting patiently at the center like something worth gathering around. There's an honesty to food this straightforward. It doesn't try to be more than it is — and that, somehow, is exactly enough.
