French Bread White Pizza

There's something quietly generous about white pizza — no bright sauce demanding attention, just a soft, creamy base that lets everything else settle in around it. Made on bread, it becomes even more forgiving, the kind of thing you pull together on a slow afternoon without much ceremony. The garlic is gentle here, the cheeses rich and yielding. It's the sort of recipe that doesn't need an occasion to justify itself — only a warm oven and a little patience.

Ingredients

  • 2 8oz baguette loaves
  • 1 teaspoon Alessi Garlic Puree
  • 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cups Alessi Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Alessi Sea Salt and Ground Black Pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded Italian cheese
  • Assorted pizza toppings to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350. In a small bowl, combine garlic, ricotta, cream cheese, olive oil and salt and pepper.
  2. Cut baguettes in halve across then again lengthwise.
  3. Spread ricotta mixture evenly over bread.
  4. Top with shredded cheese and assorted pizza toppings.
  5. Bake for 18 minutes until cheese is melted.
  6. Broil on high for an additional 2 minutes until cheese is golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before slicing.
