Alessi opened its test kitchen, La Cucina, at their headquarters in Tampa, Fla. to try new products and recipes with students and world-renowned chefs. La Cucina officially opened June 19 with Food Network’s “Chopped” winner, Chef Eric LeVine in the kitchen creating recipes with Alessi products.

The event is invitation only, open to specified media and dignitaries. The opening will consist of a tour, hors d'oeuvresmade with our own products and cooking demonstrations featuring celebrity Chef Eric.

“Alessi has great products that are accessible to families. People don’t have to drive all over town to find obscure ingredients. Alessi is right on the shelves of your grocery store and their recipes let people enjoy cooking together and reconnecting through food,” says Chef Eric LeVine.

We started the remodel on our kitchen last October. We added state of the art appliances, a new front entrance and camera equipment set up to record videos. The kitchen is set up to accommodate charity events, recipe demonstrations and even pop up restaurants. The Alessi Pursuit of the Palate student culinary contest winners will come to La Cucina to be presented with a scholarship and to demonstrate how to make their winning recipes for our video library.

In addition to featuring Chef Eric at the grand opening, Alessi also partnered with him to sponsor his new book, “Small Bites, Big Flavor,” coming out November 5, 2013.
